good book I'm reading now

I;m really into the book I'm reading now by Perri Klass. This is the first book I have read of hers, it's The Mercy Rule. It's about a former foster child, she is now a mother and a doctor to at risk families. I like how it's written with lots of humor. Do you find this valuable?
